Fylde District Explorer Scout Constitution
The decisions made were:
- If Explorer Scouts wish to drink alcohol on camp they must bring a signed note from their parents giving them permission. The only alcohol allowed is beer in sealed cans. No Alcopops, spirits or bottles will be allowed. Leaders will not assume responsibility for accidents or injuries caused by excessive drinking. Explorers are expected to be sensible and look out for each other. Any excessive drinking will result in that Explorer being banned from drinking on successive camps.
- Smoking will only be allowed for Explorers over the age of 16. Smoking is not allowed in tents or close to any other flammable substance. Smokers should smoke away from non-smokers and tidy up after themselves.
- No recreational drugs of any sort are allowed on Explorer Scout events
- All Explorer Scouts are expected to make every attempt to attend St George's Day parade, Remembrance Day parade and other parades specified by their Unit.
- All Explorer Scouts are expected to wear uniform when it is appropriate or when specified by the Unit programme.
- Explorer Scouts should only carry knives or similar articles when it is required for an activity. These knives should be within the size permitted by English law (currently blade size less than 3.5 inches) and should be appropriate for the task to be undertaken.
- This constitution can be amended as necessary through the District Explorer Scout Forum.
